I appreciate the recommendation.
Thank you, this is what I want.
This episode marks the 100th episode in the Love Live anime franchise!
Pachi pach!
Based on the preview it looks like she lost and trying to leave and one of the girl stop her. As always, that girl will forgot that she trash talk the others and no apologize whatsoever and suddenly they all become friends. Just like Lan Zhu from another love live series
How is Love Live being judged again? Was it fan votes? Coz Margarette didn't even conceal her b!tchy attitude on her video.
I think more than singing and dancing, being an idol is about personality and attitude. If you wanna be a great singer, go be a Mariah Carey or something. The ones with bubbly personalities will be the fan favorites. It's a battle of cuteness first and foremost!
Well, there are idols with... special personalities, too. XD But you're right, going by personality alone, she probably can't get the votes.
idols with... special personalities... like Ladybeard? XD
You might have a point there. By song alone, I'd say that girl was better. But by popularity, you're probably right.
"As always the girl will forget that she trash talked the others and won't apologize whatsoever and suddenly they all become friends. Just like Lanzhu." Again, the next episode hasn't even come out yet, so you're just making assumptions based off something that happened ONE time in a previous series.
Sorry to burst your bubble but this happened ever other Live Live as well
Every time a rival unit is in the screen they talk condecendinly/rudely with main unit since Muse days
Yeah, that's not true at all. A-RISE wasn't rude to their rivals and neither was Saint Snow to theirs.
Which is why i added the word condecending too
A-Rise were more into passive aggressive/mocking terrtory acting like divas/narassistically
Saint Snow were very mean with Aqours as they looked down on them for most of s1 idk what you mean by them not being that bad
Ok, but they weren't condescending either. A-RISE wasn't passive aggressive they mocked muse or acted like narcissistic divas towards Muse. If anything, they respect Muse and saw them as capable rivals
And Saint Snow was never mean to Aqours for most of the season and they never looked down on Aqours for most of the season either. There was only one time in the entire series where Sarah told them that they're better off not trying for Love Live and Leah tearfully telling them not to take Love Live lightly and that's about it.
You sure you watched Love Live because i feel like you didn't, sorry not sorry
The Love Live reporter lady is BACK!!!!
Natsumi tryna get clout in the freezing snow. Y'know I watch a commentary YouTuber by the name of Optimus, he says that "clout is a drug". Natsumi's the literal definition. XD
Chisato be mad at Kanon!
Mei and Hazuki be gaming together! And my girl Keke bickering with Sumire like the couple they are! Poor Natsumi, being the third wheel....
IDK who's more adorable, Kanon's pet owl or Kinako's pet goat. Speaking of Kanon, her dad appears, and his whole face ain't shown!
I just love watching the first-years train hard and watching all of Liella have fun in the snow! Me, I HATE snow, I like staying inside wrapped up in my blanket. Also, that photo of Sumire in a face mask!
And ofc we end in a cliffhanger! Please tell me Liella won the gold!

*clap clap clap*
Yes, we finished it! Too bad we started at the chorus. Nobody broke the chain... nobody trolled us and inserted the lyrics for "I touch myself" XD
Lmao! It was nice singing with you, my friend! You have a wonderful voice~ 😌
"I'll show you what it really means to sing. Songs are power. And I'll build my future with my very own hands. With the power of my songs."
That's nice, but... I just don't give a damn. *shrug* You may be a tough opponent, but you're not a meaningful rival nor a dastardly villain, just some middle school girl with a bug up her butt. -__-
Also... wouldn't you be building your future with your own VOICE by singing? Not your hands? :P
"You're not a meaningful rival nor a dastardly villain, just some middle school girl with a bug up her butt". Actually, given from what we've just seen that's actually NOT the case. She actually got 2 fully animated performances unlike SunnyPa who didn't get much. After seeing her performances Kanon and the others are amazed and they literally just got worried when they had to perform after her in this episode. So she's definitely a meaningful rival, she's not just some middle school girl, otherwise she wouldn't have made it this far. Plus they aren't even trying to write her as some "dastardly villain" And one more thing "Bug up her butt"? Really? That's the best you've got???
To the characters within the show, she's hailed as this great rival that amazes everyone. But what's more important is how the audience (us) feels. Just because the characters in the show are amazed and scared of her, It doesn't mean we are too.
I'm sure there are some of us who see her as a good antagonist but I think the general consensus is that she's and underwhelming version of Lanzhu.
Is it just me or was Margarete's song really bland and short? For the main antagonist of the show, her songs are really meh :/
Loved Liella's song tho. Pretty cozy episode.
It's bland and short. That's the issue with Margarete.
1, we already saw this ordeal with Lanzhu in Nijigasaki S2 earlier this year. 2, UNLIKE Margarete, we've seen Lanzhu quite a lot. Maybe not every episode, but whenever Lanzhu DOES show up, she means business, and her music (especially from Season 2 Episode 1) shows she ain't here to play. 3, Lanzhu has a reason why she believes what she does, so when she challenged Yuu and the girls, it's no longer just winning the competition, it's about whether she's right. Imagine the mindset of people had Lanzhu had won.
At best Margarete is just a watered down Lanzhu, and she's just, "I'm gonna beat you and prove I'M better than you!" At worst, she's that one girl who's all style and no substance. The ONLY reason she beat SunnyPa was because, as SunnyPa said, they got complacent. That chick Latto who sung Big Energy has more style and substance than Margarete, and Big Energy is one of the most generic songs I've heard all year!
I'm gonna make a bold prediction here and now and say that Margarete doesn't actually dislike Kanon but rather a fan instead. I think she wants Kanon so be on a suitable stage.
It might be far-fetched but I'm just basing this off of her constant visits to her house (Since I doubt she does the same to other contestants) as well as the things she says to her like "You don't belong on that stage", "Of all the people I've heard today... you at least have talent", etc. Not to mention she's always watching their performances
But yeah, It's a shot in the dark 😂
A shot in the dark beats a walk in the park. ;)
...besides, I've thought that was pretty obvious from all her stalking, myself.
Let's high-five if it turns out to be true 🙏
To be honest, her first song was really good, but I agree... this ona was kinda more of the same but it carried a bit of the impact of her previous performances, so I guess she relies on that impact factor to win.
I don't think there was anything particularly bland about Margarete's song. It actually sounds very much like a Love Live! song. I could totally see Aqours performing that song. Not my cup of tea, but it has a lot of the Love Live! musical hooks.
Yes exactly, just a typical love live song nothing amazing
I actually liked Margarete's song. Just thought it was too short
Margarete had aura as Shiki said, a diva ish presence but that's all she had
Her both songs were meh, and yes she just feel like Lanzhu
Except Lanzhu is actually amazing, she is not just all shows, her songs often reflect the message she try to pass perfectly and definetly not underwhelming as Margerete
Talk about cliffhanger! But man, this was a really good episode, I loved to see the girls hanging out and coming together for a great song that was really good, which was also fitting for the challenge ahead.
I did noticed something during this episode, Margarete represents power and impact while Liella represents light and friendship, both have their pros and cons and no doubt Margarete is a worthy rival of the girls... but I have a feeling that Margarete with her whole "one girl army" gig won't make it that far in the long run.
So far Margarete seems like a less interesting and endearing version of Lanzhu from the Nijigasaki series
Well, it's not love live series without one girl who solo everything and trash talking. After she lost he don't apologize and they all become friends lmao. Just like Lanzhu indeed
"After she lost, she doesn't apologize and they all become friends. Just like Lanzhu indeed" Um actually, no. You haven't even seen the next episode yet, so you don't know that'll happen for sure. Just making impatient assumptions smh
She looks like a pink Sumire 👀
the building where Margaret was looking out the window. it's the same building where Tsubasa and the rest of A-Rise was looking down on Honoka and the rest of Muse.
Imagine if the members of Liella! were to meet the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. I bet it would've been an interesting crossover.
Just like the super sentai and kamen riders, that's always doing crossovers... All the Love Live girls should have a crossover as well! That would be a great OVA special... didn't they realize how much of a "kaching!" it is?!
I am anime only coz I don't have time for the games. It'll still be a good advertisement for it though... so kaching!
I think it should be explained in Characters/Love Live Superstar - TV Tropes on how the 4 new members (Kinako Sakurakoji, Mei Yoneme, Shiki Wakana, and Natsumi Onitsuka) of Liella! are a foil (A character(s) who highlights another character's trait(s) by contrast) to the 3 new members (Shioriko, Mia, and Lanzhu) of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
Must read comics!👇🏻👇🏻:
